HOW LONG HAVE YOU PRACTICED YOGA THROUGH PREGNANCY?

I have attend yoga classes since I was 13 weeks pregnant. I have enjoyed attending the classes so much and I've found so much benefits from attending the classes.

WHAT BENEFITS HAVE YOU NOTICED FROM PRACTICING REGULARLY?

Yoga has so much benefits. I've found it has helped improve my sleep pattern, increased the strength and flexibility needed for child birth, and with the use of all the breathing techniques it has really helped me decrease the shortness of breath that comes with being pregnant too.

WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR FAVOURITE THING ABOUT ATTENDING THE CLASSES?

I don't think there is one thing I can favourite. I've thoroughly enjoyed meeting new mums to be. The breathing techniques learned throughout the classes I plan to use during labour, as well as doing yoga in general. It's amazing how much benefits you get from stretching. The meditation at the end of every class is extremely relaxing and a moment for you to connect with baby. What's better than knowing you are relaxed and guaranteed a good night's sleep!!!

WHAT WOULD YOU SAY TO SOMEONE WHO WAS THINKING OF STARTING BUT FELT TOO NERVOUS TO START?

I would recommend yogabellies to anyone new to yoga or have done yoga previously. Everything that is done during the classes is tailored to suit all abilities. It is so lovely to meet new mums to be during these classes. It gives mums the opportunity to speak confidentially about anything you are going through that other mums to be can relate to aswell which is so lovely.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE PRENATAL POSITION AND WHY?

Child's pose- a comfortable stretch which is beneficial for opening up hips and inner thighs. It's also beneficial for stretching the spine and back muscles which mums to be can benefit from during pregnancy as a lot of pressure is on our backs.
